Born and raised in the heartland of Iowa, Mario Ruiz is a talented artist and the proud owner of Saged Souls Tattoo Collective. His journey into the world of art began at a young age, where he quickly discovered his passion for creativity and expression. Winning awards at the county fair marked the early stages of his artistic career and ignited a lifelong dedication to honing his craft.

After graduating, Mario took a bold step into the entrepreneurial realm by opening an airbrushing shop in the Lindale Mall, where he specialized in customizing shirts. This venture served as the foundation for his artistic evolution, allowing him to explore various mediums and techniques. As his skills grew, so did his ambitions. He transitioned from airbrushing to painting stunning murals for an array of establishments, including bars, restaurants, fitness centers, conservation centers, and residential spaces. Each mural became a testament to his ability to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences through vibrant colors and captivating designs.

In 2018, Mario's artistic journey took a pivotal turn when he began tattooing at a local shop in town. Specializing in large-scale realism, he has developed a unique style that resonates deeply with his clients. His dedication to the craft is reflected in the meticulous detail and lifelike quality of his tattoo work. Over the years, Mario has participated in numerous tattoo conventions across the Midwest, where he has earned accolades and recognition for his artistry.
